Crafted from high-quality Iraca palm fibers, each hat requires approximately 8 hours of devoted weaving to perfect its exceptional form and durability.
These hats are designed to accommodate various head sizes and fashion preferences, offering multiple ways to wear them for both comfort and sun protection. Whether you opt for a fully covered look or a more bohemian style with the front down and the back up, our Wayuu hats are adaptable to your personal style needs.
The pompoms, a distinctive feature, are not merely decorative but hold significant symbols in Wayuu culture, with larger pompoms symbolizing financial stability. Each hat is more than just an accessory; it is a celebration and acknowledgment of the rich heritage of its creators.
Our hats feature a standard head opening of approximately 21 inches, but can be tailor-made for a perfect fit. To maintain the quality of your Wuitusu handmade crochet bags, gently hand wash in cold water with mild detergent. Avoid wringing or twisting, reshape while damp, and dry flat away from direct sunlight. For punch needle bags, spot clean with a damp cloth and air dry. Iraca palm hats should be gently wiped with a damp cloth and reshaped if needed. Avoid exposure to excessive moisture and store in a cool, dry place.
