These artisanal hats are crafted within the Wayuu communities of Colombia and Venezuela, each colorful piece taking approximately 8 hours to create, ensuring both quality and uniqueness.
The flexible design of these hats allows for a comfortable fit on various head sizes and can be styled in different ways—fully lowered for maximum sun protection, with the front tipped and back raised for a chic look, or entirely upright for an air of sophistication.
Each hat features decorative pompoms that are not only visually striking but also carry significant cultural meaning in the Wayuu community, representing financial prosperity and adding depth to your fashion choice.
Standard in size with a head opening of about 21 inches, our hats can also be custom-fitted to ensure a perfect match (Contact us for custom sizing - Click Here). Each purchase not only enhances your wardrobe but also supports the Wayuu community, with $50 from each sale going to support five Wayuu children through the Wayuu Taya Foundation, an initiative fervently supported by Wuitusu.

To maintain the quality of your Wuitusu handmade crochet bags, gently hand wash in cold water with mild detergent. Avoid wringing or twisting, reshape while damp, and dry flat away from direct sunlight. For punch needle bags, spot clean with a damp cloth and air dry. Iraca palm hats should be gently wiped with a damp cloth and reshaped if needed. Avoid exposure to excessive moisture and store in a cool, dry place.
