It takes approximately 8 hours of dedicated craftsmanship to produce each hat, ensuring exceptional quality and meticulous attention to detail.
These colorful hats are designed for versatility and comfort, featuring an adjustable construction that comfortably fits various head sizes. Wear the brim fully down for maximum sun protection, tilt it up at the back for a stylish flair, or turn it up completely for a refined look. Moreover, these hats celebrate the rich Wayuu culture with decorative pompoms that signify prosperity in the Wayuu community.
With a standard head opening of about 21 inches and availability of custom sizing for the perfect fit (For custom sizes, please click here), each purchase not only brings a piece of unique artisan art but also supports a noble cause. Wuitusu helps the Wayuu Taya Foundation by donating $50 from each sale, which feeds five Wayuu children, showcasing Wuitusu’s commitment to the community.

To maintain the quality of your Wuitusu handmade crochet bags, gently hand wash in cold water with mild detergent. Avoid wringing or twisting, reshape while damp, and dry flat away from direct sunlight. For punch needle bags, spot clean with a damp cloth and air dry. Iraca palm hats should be gently wiped with a damp cloth and reshaped if needed. Avoid exposure to excessive moisture and store in a cool, dry place.
