Skyler Crochet Wayuu bag - Lissett was so good at keeping a surprise from my friend. She knew what my friend likes and steered her towards those handbags. I shocked my friend by letting her choose any bag she wanted. The craftsmanship is exquisite. A piece of art.

Meet the Wayuu
The Wayuu people are native South Americans who live in an area between Venezuela and Colombia. They live in a harsh, arid area, and the families are divided into clans.
The Wayuu people are skilled weavers and knitters and their handcrafts include bags, hats, and hammocks.
Living in small, isolated communities, in Wayuu culture, the woman is the pillar of the family and with her weavings is its main supporter and that of the community.
